We have realized a manual tester machine for Fiat 500 steering column module (SCCM). The tester is used to verify a correct function of the module during production. The conductivity of reel wires (foil cable) is measured, and left and right level positions and knob/button states are visualized.
The test consists of 2 parts:
- Conductivity of 11 wires
- Lever and knob state visualisation
The test is started by pressing the button, and OK / NOK result is signalized by an LED. Afterwards, the tester shows left and right lever position and knob/button states with the help of LED signals. Test process can be seen in video below.
